WHAT IS BOUNCE RATE?

 

Bounce rate is the percentage of people that visit a certain website and navigate away from it after seeing merely one page. It is a session on any website that lasts for one page as the user opens just a single page on that website and exits without visiting any other pages of it. It is calculated by single-page sessions divided by all sessions. Having a high bounce rate is not really a bad thing but it actually depends. If the success of your site depends on users viewing multiple pages then it is bad to have a high bounce rate.

FEW METHODS TO REDUCE BOUNCE RATE

 

If the bounce rate of your website is high, then you should research more and see whether the bounce rate is uniformly high or it’s high from two or more channels, mediums or few pages.

If the reason behind the high bounce rate is a few pages then look into details that whether the marketing that you are using to drive traffic to your page correlates with the content that is on the page. Also, check that is there a proper path for the user to go onto to the next step where you want them to go.

If the visitors coming through any specific channel are bouncing soon then you need to take a check of your marketing strategies. Like if visitors coming through the display ads network are bouncing back then we need to check whether the ads are relevant to the website or not.
